Niue is affectionately known as the “Rock”- the Rock of Polynesia, stood all alone (Nukututaha – Motusefua) in the Pacific Ocean. Well located within the tropics hence the environment is predominantly of a typical ‘tropical island nation’ – a small one The total land mass of Niue is 26,146 hectares or 261.46 square kilometers. This land mass is the composition of 13 different districts (or villages) as shown below. The environment statistics of activities that was done in, on, and above this land mass will be supplied as they are available.
